Demystifying Mold Making - 1 day in person workshop

Demystifying Mold Making is a one day workshop for potters who want to take their skills to the next level by creating their own plaster molds. Over the course of 8 hours students will learn the basic skills for planning and making a mold system in order to slip cast a mug and handle of their own design. Students will learn the basics handling plaster in a safe and confident way to support their clay practice moving forward. 

Class discussions will focus on best practices for one part and two part mold design, set up, plaster mixing, troubleshooting common issues, and more.

Light prep work required prior to class to create all models needed for class.

Class is hosted in my (Stephanie) studio located in West Oakland, California.
